Last week we talked about courage and that courage comes from the heart.  This week we continue to look at courage and I have the special privilege of having my oldest son, Seth, join me.

Seth and I jump into a conversation about a young man who was a good friend of Seth’s named John Chau.  John was very courageous and ended up giving his life for Jesus.  A great story about John and his martyrdom can be found at www.persecution.com/stories.

Over the next four weeks Seth and I give you insights from our friendship with John and address the question, “What kind of person is willing to risk and give their life for the sake of Jesus?

John and Seth met their first year of college at ORU.  John loved life and lived it to the full.  He ran cross country, played soccer, led missions’ trips, and was faithful in the day to day.  He loved Jesus and took the next step each day in his journey, trusting God to lead Him.

John made the most of each day.  He lived in the now moment and blessed those God placed in his path.

This week choose someone to bless.  Ask God how to do that and go for it!

We leave you with these questions today:  What kind of person gives their life for Jesus?  Are you willing?

About 15 years ago our heavenly Father began encouraging me in my role as His son and out of that in my role as a father, both biologically and spiritually. Through multiple encounters on my journey God has revealed His heart as my Father and affirmed my sonship in Him. Out of this has come His call to fully embrace who He has created me to be as a father and to share that with others.
