Today we continue our series where different men are sharing their Jesus stories.  We get to hear from Joe Wimpey how Jesus has totally changed his life.

Joe’s story involves the challenges of growing up as a military brat and dealing with having the last name Wimpey.  As an adult Joe went into the military himself and was a very driven man in his work life.

Joe realized he was wearing different masks at work, home, and elsewhere.  Watch the video to hear how God showed up in Joe’s life and in so doing changed not only his life, but the lives of his two youngest sons.  But it doesn’t stop there.  He and his wife Erin have kept saying yes to Jesus and have impacted the lives of hundreds of other young people as well.

One of the questions that Joe was challenged with early in his walk with Jesus was, “Where is your community?”  We were not made to do life alone.  Ask the Holy Spirit who you should take a step towards this week.  Where does He want you to try to connect?  Then press past your excuses and jump in!

About 15 years ago our heavenly Father began encouraging me in my role as His son and out of that in my role as a father, both biologically and spiritually. Through multiple encounters on my journey God has revealed His heart as my Father and affirmed my sonship in Him. Out of this has come His call to fully embrace who He has created me to be as a father and to share that with others.
