Today we get the joy of hearing Arturo’s Marquez’s story and the impact that Jesus has had in his life.

Growing up, Arturo had a lot of hurt and pain and loneliness.  His childhood was rough.  Some of this stemmed from Arturo’s dad’s struggles with alcohol.  His father was present but not present at the same time.  Due to this, Arturo took on a protective role for one of his siblings and his mother and tried to be a parent and a provider.

Arturo was full of anger toward God.  Then one day things just “blew up”.   Watch the video to see how in the midst of the mess Arturo began to have hope that maybe there is a God who loves us.

Look to the Lord this week and say, “Where do I need to let you into my story?”  He loves to show up in the midst of our pain and reveal His love!

About 15 years ago our heavenly Father began encouraging me in my role as His son and out of that in my role as a father, both biologically and spiritually. Through multiple encounters on my journey God has revealed His heart as my Father and affirmed my sonship in Him. Out of this has come His call to fully embrace who He has created me to be as a father and to share that with others.
